How it started

A craving that turned into a kitchen

Kitchenette began with a simple, stubborn craving the smoky party jollof, the peppered asun, the deep comfort of pounded yam and egusi. The food that means home.

So we built a kitchen for it in Nairobi, then a second one. Today we cook those flavours fresh across Lavington and Syokimau, seasoning everything the way it should be generously, and with no shortcuts. Guests tell us the jollof tastes like party jollof and the soups taste like a proper Lagos restaurant. That's the whole point.

Whether you dine in, grab takeout, or order to your door, you get the real thing bold, fresh, and unmistakably West African.

On the table

The flavours we're known for

A whole West-African spread, cooked to order and built for sharing.

Small chops

Party jollof

Asun & grills

Egusi & soups

Pepper soup

Light, fiery and aromatic goat or fish, exactly the way home does it.

Sides & sweet endings

Fried plantain, moi moi and a little something sweet to finish the table.
